Carbon sequestration calculated for the actual site
Carboreal has developed a site-specific carbon sequestration model for Finnish afforestation projects. The methodology is built on scientific research into forest growth, soil emissions and land-use change, including data from the Natural Resources Institute Finland and other recognised Finnish research sources.
Rather than applying a single national average, we calculate the expected climate impact at plot level. Each site is assessed using local environmental conditions, soil characteristics and risk factors that directly influence forest growth and carbon sequestration.
